Hybe Review 2024: IS IT A SCAM?
What is Hybe?
Hybe, an online platform, offers players the opportunity to unlock virtual boxes containing prizes that can be delivered to their doorstep. These prizes encompass a wide range of items, from video games and electronics to designer clothing, sneakers, watches, and more. Players also have the option to receive the equivalent value of their items in crypto, although there can be delays.
The legitimacy of their items is ensured through verification by well-known services like StockX. Nonetheless, it's important to note that Hybe has a notable advantage for the house, like many other sites, and the selection of low-priced boxes is somewhat limited.
Hybe- How Does It Work?
Upon successfully creating an account, the next step is to add funds to your account by selecting the "Top-up" option. This process allows you to use various payment methods, including Visa, Amex, Zen, and Paysafe.
Once your account is funded, you can embark on the unboxing experience. Prior to opening a box, you have the opportunity to preview its contents. Typically, each box contains approximately 50 different items. The box's unboxing probability, the prices of the items, and the items themselves are all clearly displayed when you click on a specific box. This transparency ensures that you're well-informed about the potential outcomes before investing in a particular box.
Once you've made your decision and selected a box, simply click "open" to reveal your item. In the event that the item isn't what you anticipated, Hybe provides an option to return it. However, it's worth noting that a commission fee may apply for this service. For example, if your item has an approximate value of $30, you may have the option to sell it back to Hybe for around $18. This is a unique feature of Hybe that could deter future users.
Hybe- Pros & Cons
Pros:
✔️ 100% Verified Provably Fair Odds - We have reviewed Hybe's odds system, and can confirm it is 100% fair.
✔️ Cheap boxes below $1 - You can unbox from as little as $0.43.
✔️ Various payment methods - Hybe accept Visa, Paysafecard and crypto.
Cons:
❌ Shipping Costs - Hybe are the on more expensive side of mystery box sites when it comes to shipping, this is one negative for sure.
❌ Items are won in a certain size - There is a system on Hybe where you unbox a certain size of an item and you can only receive that size, if you want to switch it to a different size then you will most likely have to pay a fee for changing size.
❌ Confusing selection of boxes - The boxes on Hybe don't have a running order or system, there are just a lot of random boxes in one place which can become very confusing for new users.
Is Hybe Legit?
Hybe appears to be a legitimate platform, and according to user feedback, customers are indeed receiving the products they order. While it is possible to shop on this website, it's important to note that the costs can be on the higher side, but the experience can be quite enjoyable. The odds on this site are heavily in favour of the house, which is very important to remember.
However, it's essential to be aware that shipping times may be longer, and you'll be responsible for covering additional expenses like taxes and tariffs associated with your purchases. Especially if you win something in size Medium, and you are a size Large, you will have to cover the difference in price for that.
Alternative Site Choices
I still consider RillaBox as our favourite mystery box site right now, mainly due to it's incredible 24/7 livechat support and huge range of 50+ organised mystery boxes. Although Hybe has been around for longer than RillaBox, RillaBox seems to also be more active in terms of marketing, which is always a good sign indicating that the team behind the project are not inactive collecting money and not shipping any item out.
Conclusion - Is Hybe a SCAM?
In conclusion, I'd say that Hybe is legit, but since it has been live for so long, there is a possibility that they may be more inactive that new mystery box sites. Also taking into account the size of the platform, it seems fairly reputable in comparison to other mystery box sites.
Other than that Hybe seems relatively safe, and offers a fun shopping experience for many customers. But, as we’ve already mentioned this kind of shopping may only be fun if you treat it as fun, not like a chance to get rich overnight.
